Research tools offer a significant role in research. They can be time saving in the research process. Several research support tools are available to guide researcher in their scholarly journeys by supporting quality research writing with minimal effort.
At the Faculty of Science and Education Library, we provide support in the use of a number of research tools including but not limited to:
Mendeley Reference Manager
Mendeley Cite
Mendeley Cite is a free brand-new citation tool replacing Mendeley Desktop and is continuously developed with new features and functionality being added regularly.
The new Mendeley Reference Manager has been built using researchers’ feedback to give you what you need to manage your references even more quickly and effectively.
Mendeley Cite is compatible with Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Word versions 2016 and above and with the Microsoft Word app for iPad®. If you are using an earlier version of Word, you can use the existing Mendeley Citation Plugin for Word available with Mendeley Desktop.

Zotero Reference Manager
Zotero is a free, easy-to-use tool to help you collect, organize, annotate, cite, and share research.
Zotero helps you organize your research any way you want. You can sort items into collections and tag them with keywords. Or create saved searches that automatically fill with relevant materials as you work.
Zotero instantly creates references and bibliographies for any text editor, and directly inside Word, LibreOffice, and Google Docs. With support for over 10,000 citation styles, you can format your work to match any style guide or publication.
Zotero can optionally synchronize your data across devices, keeping your files, notes, and bibliographic records seamlessly up to date. If you decide to sync, you can also always access your research from any web browser.

Endnote
EndNote is a subscribed reference manager that helps you save time formatting citations, so you can focus on your research.
With EndNote you can access your research anytime, anywhere from the cloud. Move seamlessly between online and the desktop and applications. Maximum functionalities are achieved through a subscribed package.
Although our university does not subscribe to Endnote, we offer support to users in its use and management.
